Hi,
I recently switched to courier for my mail system, and almost everything's
working great. However, SMTP authentication is not. Whenever I try to
authenticate, using what I know to be a valid username/password, I get a
535 Authentication rejected
error. The relevant parts of my /etc/courier/esmtpd are:
ESMTPAUTH_TLS="PLAIN LOGIN"
AUTHMODULES="authdaemon"
I am using TLS, and I know the authdaemon is working because imap and pop
authentication work fine. It also can't be a problem with PAM, because imap and
smtp, in /etc/pam.d, are the same. Google-ing hasn't turned up anything.
Does anybody have any ideas?
