Hi, I have postfix installed on redhat 7.2 (2.4.25-custom kernel) and courier-imap-3.0.2 installed. I have amavisd-new+clamav+spamassassin doing wonders. Now I want to configure SMTP AUTH for our USA traveling bosses.
I went through HOWTOs and docs but every where I found smtp auth using Cyrus-SASL. I am unable to install cyrus-sasl. With some versions the compilation fails(either cyrus itself of postfix "make upgrade") and with some the daemon does not start "Address already in use". That may be due to courier-imap is already using the port. I can't upgrade the redhat since it is a hosting server space at a remote location in USA and myself a sysadmin in India. So I need help to configure SMTP AUTH for courier-imap and postfix. I will be very grateful for your help. Thanking you, Regards, Madhav. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
