as you're asking, i've had just the same problem a few days ago.
sourceforge-servers block your mta if they can't post to
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. as the rfc also states that every domain
should have a postmaster, i just made them.

i generate aliases automatically from a database whenever there is a change.
i used a php-script to put the postmaster-aliases into the db and my cronjob
converted them to courier-aliases and ran makealiases. now, if some
mail-user deletes the postmaster-alias, i display some nice notification box
where he is warned that people might not want his mail if he does as he is
trying to.

works for me :)
