Anyway, I've been having no end of difficulty getting Courier to install correctly with IMAP and MySQL. I've got the dev libraries installed, and I'm running 4.0.21 MySQL, and I've obtained the latest and greatest from the courier-mta site as well for both the Authlib suite, and the complete Courier install.
configure: error: --with-authmysql specified but no mysqlclient.so
How did you install MySQL? rpm should be able to confirm that the software is installed:
rpm -q mysql mysql-devel rpm -V mysql mysql-devel
