Nope, that didn't fix it.  I've redone clean installs several times
now, wiping directories and retyping details in.  Still all I get is 

Jul 19 12:00:28 db1 courieresmtpd: /usr/lib/courier/sbin/courieresmtpd: 
Permission denied

Is there any other debugging information I can use here?  Any other
thoughts?
