When you build the rpm add - --define='_unpackaged_files_terminate_build=0' to the rpmbuild command. This tells rpm to ignore any unpackaged files. You can also edit the spec file and change the appropriate line to say %define _unpackaged_files_terminate_build 0 and then rebuild.
