What gave you the idea that /etc/mailname is the file to change?

You need to set either the "me" or the "esmtphelo" configuration file in Courier's etc directory.

sorry - but i can't see these files in the directory   :o/

and they're not easy to find in the docs either.

should i make up new files with these names?
