All-

Does anyone know of a simple way to build selective RPMs from the
courier tar-balls? I'm trying to make it so that I can build only the
RPMs that I want, and not the entire suite in one go.

The purpose of this is to allow for the insertion of some debug code to
see where Courier is barfing on my system w/out having to wait for the
20+min (on my system: P4 3GHz, 512MB RAM FC4) RPM build each time. Even
the authlib build takes about 5min and produces ~8 RPMs, of which I only
need 1.

I have tried simply 'make/make install'-ing until things are working
and then building the RPMs but I'm left with two issues I'd like not to
have to deal with: 1.) The make itself still takes a while and I'd like
to avoid that since I'm adding code, testing, building in a cycle, and
2.) in the end I'm still going to have to sit for 20+min every time I
have a build I'm happy with which changes as new requirements for the
mail system come about, etc.

The ideal solution would be perhaps a switch or something w/in
the .spec file that would allow for specific RPMs to be selected. I was
searching through the courier-users archive for comments on this and did
find one guy trying to build his RPMs with switches like
'--without-authldap', but get errors from rpmbuild when I try this.

Anyways, any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Chris
