I installed postfix+courier(imap/pop)+sasl+mysql following the Falko
guide (howtoforge) on debian etch.
I want my users can change their passwords from webmail interface.So i
installed courierpassd.I can change the password from consol using the
courierpassd command.The changed passwords work for courier-pop3d and
imap daemons.But sasl cannot retrieve the new password.Because
something is changing in password column of mysql.
the password is 123456;
the old password look like (encrypted);
8Ys0OhQRMi6iI
after changing the password it looks like (again 123456)
{CRYPT}bPhafi6JV6M2,
the courier daemons (pop,imap)can use this new password succesfully,
but sasl cannot.I think the problem is about the "{CRYPT}" and need
your advices.
