Hello all,

a trivial question (I hope) on shared/public IMAP folders: the
Courier online documentation talks about the two styles of shared
IMAP folders: virtual and filesystem permission based. The virtual
part mentions that it is an option available to a setup which uses
the same userid/groupid for all users. There is some text further
down, however, that confused me a little bit, and hence my request
for a clarification: I have a straightforward Courier setup with Unix
logins on my server corresponding to users, with each user's mail
being delivered to a Maildir in her home directory. The documentation
on shared folders gives me the feeling that implementing them using
the virtual technique is more feature rich (for instance, users can
set ACLs using their mailreader). Is that true? But, it seems, this
is not possible in my case, unless I switch to a single userid for
all mailboxes?

All comments appreciated,

        --ravi
