My bad, sorry to confuse you. Should be set to 'BOFHCHECKDNS=0', not '1'. If you comment it out (or set it to '0') in esmtpd, then it's turned off globally. If you want to turn it off just for certain ip addresses, then you have to set 'BOFHCHECKDNS=0' in the smtpaccess file.
