As I mentioned, I hadn't but now that I have, I'm not sure I'm better off.

Hi Milan.

The "Oct 20 14:21:24 ec authdaemond: /var/run/authdaemond/socket:  
Cross-device link" doesn't mean anything to me.  I'm rebuilding  
authdaemond right now out of desperation.
