Wouldn't something like greylisting solve this issue? Most spammers will take ANY SMTP error as a hard failure and move on to someone else without tracking which have failed to try again later. I use greylisting in front of SA, and will see 0 spam email get in for months on end. Also, when you say that your email address is given in all-caps, are you refering to the RCPT TO: in the SMTP transaction of the 'To:' field in the DATA of the SMTP transaction?
