Hi Everyone,

I'm a little late joining this group, not sure how I managed to miss
getting involved earlier.

I'm Jon, and I'm the founder of http://inuda.com a small web app
development, coaching and support business based in Brighton. We work
with all sorts of organisations to help them do more with the web.
Our most high profile job to date has been working with Oxfam to help
them experiment with using Facebook to build stronger relationships
with their supporters. We've also built a handy little app on the
side for measure the visibility of a brand on the social web:
http://howsociable.com

We love getting really involved in community stuff and have been
participants in all three http://BarCampBrighton.org's, including
organising the last 2 to take place at the University of Sussex. We
have a hub for all our community focused activities here: http://inuda.org

In the last couple of months we spotted an opportunity to take on a
space in central Brighton and we're now in the process of moving in.
I'm an old friend of James McCarthy who co-founded The Werks coworking
space on the other side of Brighton and I've also worked closely with
Steve Purkiss and Josh Russell who are creating the coworking cafe on
the beach here. Having been inspired them and after reading up on
Citizen Space we've decided we want to do the same with our space.
It's all been a little rushed putting this together on the side of our
main business but we think we're going to be ready for coworkers as
early as next week. We've made use of http://CitizenSpace.us's
Creative Commons content which we felt fitted well with our own ideas
and with only a few modifications we've set up http://theskiff.org to
tell everyone what we're up to.

I realise this post isn't quite in fitting with the group's
guidelines. I know I would have benefited a great deal had I got
involved earlier. I hope that despite that my late entrance you might
still be able to provide some feedback on what we're doing - we expect
our approach to evolve over the coming weeks and months.

I'm particularly conscious of the fact that about a quarter of the
people using The Skiff will be Inuda employees rather than everyone
being independents. We've got two great independents that will be
joining us and they have played a big part in getting set up. We want
to try and make sure that we sustain the open, collaborative,
community feel that coworking is all about and avoid a divide forming
between those that work within Inuda and those that don't.

Looking forward to getting more involved in the wider coworking
community,

Jon.
