Greetings, all: My name is Russell Sparkman. I've been in Digital Photography since 1992 (I worked at the Kodak Center for Creative Imaging in Camden, Maine, from '92 to '93), and co-authored Essentials of Digital Photography in 1996 - one of the first digital photo books geared toward the professional . I Moved to Japan for 8 years, then back to the States, where I am living about 25 miles north of Seattle.
Been a lurker here, and elsewhere, for a while, as I worked to set up a Coworking space in a small, Puget Sound-area community called Langley, on Whidbey Island. Have learned a lot from the online resources. Langley is a fantastic little community, and I'm proud to be an elected City Council member here. Our economic development plans call for diversifying our community beyond the predominately tourism business that we have, and I'm actively engaged in attracting younger tech and knowledge-based worker demographic to move here with their families. The Langley Center Coworks is a step in that direction. http://www.langleynewmedia.com/coworks/ The Coworks is a function of the Langley Center for New Media, through which we're planning training and educational workshops and events. Thanks for letting me participate in your group. Russell Sparkman -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
