Hey all!

Just doing a grant search and found one from the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation (giggle giggle) for non-profits that support community
health. The language of the grant can be used to demonstrate how
coworking helps us all be healthier.

Apparently "family and social support" is one of the "social or
economic factors that, as defined by the County Health Rankings, most
strongly influence health outcomes in their community. These include:
education; employment and income; family and social support; and
community safety."

On family and social support: "A person’s health is also affected by
the quality of relationships he or she has with family members, with
friends, colleagues, and acquaintances, as well as the extent of his
or her involvement in community life. Inadequate family and social
supports are associated with declines in health and premature death.
Policies—such as those that build social capital at the community
level or encourage social connectedness among adults, special
populations, or youth—can improve social networks, social capital, and
social support and reduce social isolation, which all lead to
healthier outcomes."

Thanks!
