I've noticed an uptick in the number of articles related to coliving -
combining housing and work spaces. The two most recent I've seen are
Shareable's Coliving Reinvents the Commune for the Network
Age<http://www.shareable.net/blog/hacking-home-coliving-reinvents-communal-living-for-a-networked-generation?goback=%2Egde_4384240_member_126814935>
 and
New Housing Caters to Gen Y Techie
Lifestyle<http://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/print-edition/2012/06/22/new-housing-caters-to-gen-y-techie.html?ana=twt&page=all>

Do you know of other examples? I'm curious if this idea is starting to
gain broader traction.
