Dear college coxes,

While things are still a bit uncertain, we’re looking at the possibility of
a return to coxing in the next couple of months. I’m very aware that we’ve
all had very little water time over the last year, and training and
development has been seriously interrupted for many of us.

A couple of senior college coxes have agreed to run an informal ‘coxing
seminar’ session on Wednesday the 10th at 7pm (UK time). A link to join
will be circulated closer to the time.

Callum Mantell has been coxing Emmanuel first boats for years, as well as
for CULRC, Bedford Star and Cantabs.
Katie Kirk coxes for Churchill (five years in first boats, most recently
W1), as well as being overall captain last year and previosuly racing with
CUW and Robs/Lysander.
I’m …. old. But I’ve been around for a while at Emma, Lucy Cav, City of
Cambridge and Cantabs.

We’re aiming to each talk on a specific topic, and then open things up to a
more general discussion/Q&A. The plan is to try and give some ideas and
pointers for people who have been coxing for a while, but have had a bit of
an interruption to their coxing careers and who want to get back on form as
quickly as possible once training becomes a thing again.

Best wishes to you all,

Isabel
