FWIW, this is for cpandeps - the list of OSes in the dropdown is generated from the database, and I need to know how to munge all the various platform identifiers into OS names. At some point I'm also going to see if it's practical to break OSes down by architecture - so you'll be able to get reports on Solaris/SPARC and Solaris/x86 seperately. Woo!
