It seems the server is having a dislike to utf8! Not sure exactly whats going on, but I'm guessing I did an upgrade to the server that affected email. I've switched off utf8 mail, so apologies to anyone who gets mail with some odd characters in their name :( If you still have problems registering, let me know and I'll set you up manually.
