Hi Christian, I just checked the database and there are only 28 authors with a NONE in their settings, and 18 of them have all five options checked!
The new author default is just 'FAIL' (and the setting for 8579 authors), so I'll not bother changing that. If authors want more they can include them. BooK's settings are 'FAIL,NA,UNKNOWN', which would seem reasonable, and he shouldn't be getting inundated. If authors are ignoring the mails, it's more likely that they are using the website more to reference their failing distributions.
