I am not sure why you are testing this package:
since March 20th the current COPE version has
been 0.06.  However, I suspect that package
would show the same problems, as these errors
are specific to Perl 5.6.0.

I plan to build a new COPE package in the next
few days that will contain the fix for these
problems and others.
