IGNOU is planning to hold a Conference on Community Radio – A Tool for Development from 16th -18th September where we would like to bring face to face all academicians, activists and functionaries of Community Radio under one platform. We would like you to share at this Conference your understanding of Community Radio & how you visualise the use of Community radio as a tool for development. Our focus areas will be as below: · Agriculture & Rural Marketing · Medical Facilities & Health Awareness · Judicial Procedures & Legal Aid · Education & Information Dissemination The Conference Paper should be around 2000 words and we need your firm confirmation of participation along with a synopsis of the paper before 18st August to enable us to you're your participation in the sessions. IGNOU is also launching a Certificate Programme in Community Radio which will be available with effect from January 2009. IGNOU will bear the expense of stay and hospitality for all registered participants to the conference as per government rates during the three-days of the conference.
