I have noticed that when the syntax definition file get's to be very large,
CREdit does take a bit longer to start up.
Have you made any modifications to CREditHgl.ini?
To combat this I have manually edited CREditHgl.ini and marked the syntax
definitions that I do not use as inactive.
For example, for each syntax def. change the following line:
Active=Yes
to:
Active=No
and CREdit will not parse those lines for the given syntax definition.
