We're currently investigating an issue with www.eclipse.org specifically. It has started to exhibit a large volume of "connection reset by peer" errors.

Hudson, much like rush-hour traffic, will perform as well or as poorly depending on what anonymous users are doing and the volume and type of jobs currently running, whether or not those jobs are running as expected.

I haven't heard anything else about the download server, and our monitoring from OSU OSL shows it was performing adequately thoughout the day yesterday.

Please file a bug against Eclipse Foundation > Community > Servers if you have specific issues. Adding performance numbers and/or repeatable steps also helps.
