I was not aware about this library. Unfortunately this seem not to work inside "usual" VNC sessions (I get Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":1" errors), so no go without extra vncserver+VirtualGL setup...

SWT Snippet195 contains an example of how to use LWJGL to draw on some SWT Canvas. That's more than 3D plotting so it may be overkill for the desired case though.
