Andrey,
When I say I generated it, I mean it's specified in the product catalog
such that the installer automatically adds it when the user chooses that
JRE in the installer. I.e., the selected items here:
Some of those are there for WindowBuilder to work, though I think the
latest WB works without them...
As I said, I don't think the -Djava.security.manager=allow option is
necessary, but I don't know what the rest of the universe does and it
seemed harmless to add it...
Regards,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Where is the -Djava.security.manager=allow option coming from?
I've assumed we don't need it, see

Kind regards,

Hi,
A JustJ JRE for Java 18.0.0 milestone is available for testing:
https://download.eclipse.org/justj/jres/18/updates/milestone/latest/index.html
I've installed the Eclipse SDK 4.24 using it, and all appears to work
well, including JDT's Java 18 enhancements.
I generated this option into the eclipse.ini, but I don't know if
that's really necessary/useful:
-Djava.security.manager=allow
If anyone has the time to test this in addition to my testing on
Windows 10 and runs into a problem, please open a bug.
https://www.eclipse.org/justj/?page=support
Note that EPP's package will continue to ship with a JustJ Java 17 JRE
for the foreseeable future, i.e., probably until the next long term
support version.
Regards,
Ed
