If you go into here xwalk_app_template/app_src/src/org/xwalk/app/template/AppTemplateActivity.java
and add setRequestedOrientation(ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT); to the onCreate() function. This will work nicely also for all android versions.
