Hi, I assume you are using evaluateJavaScript provided by Android WebView, right? The evaluateJavaScript API is exposed from Crosswalk 8.
Which crosswalk version are you working on? If it is old than Crosswalk 8, I suggest to download the Crosswalk canary build from https://download.01.org/crosswalk/releases/crosswalk/android/canary/. If Crosswalk 8 doesn't still work for you, please file a bug at https://crosswalk-project.org/jira/. Thanks.
