I am afraid not.
Current the API of XWALK is XWalkView which is an Android View. That means we’d
better put it into a front activity, not a background service.

Of course, you can do something like input method service which have View
residing in a service.
But you need to provide some kind of “Window” like PopupWIndow or blabla…

Subject: [Crosswalk-help] Running in a Service

Hi,

I'm using the embedded XWalk mode for android.

I've searched, but couldn't find an answer.. Is there any way to run the XWalk
code inside a service ? Such which can provide me the html and run some java
scripts for me in the background ?

Will moving to the "shared" library mode will make a difference like the
andoird webkit can work in the BG ?

Thanks in advance,
Meo
