Zago, could you please point out which OS are you planning to support, Android or general Linux? For linux, there is a method to capture screen without installing browser extension: Running with command line option: --enable-usermedia-screen-capturing https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/discuss-webrtc/TPQVKZnsF5g As for Android, the feature is not even supported on Chrome upstream.
