James,

Here at Dell we need to integrate locally generated OpenSUSE builds into our
smoketest framework. We need to do this in such a way that internet
connectivity is not required to build the ISO. I am still noodling over how we
can also utilize the good work you are doing within the OBS framework and with
KIWI. This later objective is something we want to do, but at a slightly lower
priority than creating the ability to build ISOs without need for external
networked resources.

Some of our developers live and work from remote places where the internet
bandwidth is even more restrictive than it is from within Dell campuses.

I will start work on the ./dev build process and will keep you updated on our
progress.

Additionally, and after some cogitation I have come to the decision to create
our own OBS server and to mirror (pull down) the work you are doing to run on
that system. That way we can possibly keep in lock-step with your team and
meet our internal needs. Does this make sense from your perspective?
