Please advise how I do that, I followed the online instructions so obviously I
am missing a step from the document, I do know how to get it working but the
method is not the way we should do it, for example

Follow the instructions online and select

./dev switch mesa-1.6/openstack-os-build
./dev fetch
./dev sync

ISO 1.5 GB

All nice and clean but then we have the issue you have found - I would like the
solution here for completeness of the documentation

What I have subsequently done is

./dev switch pebbles/openstack-os-build
./dev fetch
./dev sync
./dev switch mesa-1.6/openstack-os-build
./dev fetch
./dev sync

Now when I do a build my ISO is 1.8GB and it builds the crowbar server.

The hack I am doing to me is not right and I want to improve the community
documentation by getting it right and repeatable so any advise you can provide
is appreciated.

Seems like you trying to build mesa on top of empty cache - there is no proper
activesupport version, only 4.0.0. For mesa the only solution i know is to put
activesupport-3.2.13 into cache manualy before build.
