I wrote up a guide for Giraph a few days ago: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GIRAPH/Committer+notes The only addition for Crunch is that one the vote has been approved by the PPMC, the release must also be approved by the Incubator PMC. These votes can run concurrently.
