This note is to solicit applicants to positions in the E-Business and
Security Technologies group of IBM Research. The group is located in Tel
Aviv, Israel; organizationally it is part of the IBM Haifa Research Lab. I
appreciate your understanding and support in forwarding this information to
potential candidates.

The E-Business and Security Technologies group is doing innovative applied
research in advanced areas of e-commerce, security and knowledge management
and collaboration. Our approach is to focus on areas where we can make
maximal contribution and impact, by creating, promoting and using open
software and standards, such as Java and XML. Examples of our work include
IBM Micro Payments and Proactive Cryptography/Security; for more
information see http://www.hrl.il.ibm.com

We now have openings for regular and temporary (summer, postdoc) positions.
To apply please send me ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) e-mail with your CV
(prefer in HTML or plain text), and what kind of position you are
interested in.

The specific positions we look for are:

1. Cryptographer (regular employee, post-doc and summer student positions):
a CS graduate (PhD preferred) with specialization in cryptography and/or
network security. The initial assignment will be analysis and design of
proactively secure cryptographic mechanisms, and guidance in cryptographic
aspects to the implementors of the proactive security toolkit (see more
info in http://www.hrl.il.ibm.com). Familiarity with Java, C++ and TCP/IP
programming will be an advantage.

2. E-Commerce and Web specialist: an expert CS (or similar) graduate (PhD
preferred) or exceptional bachelor, with demonstrated ability to do
innovative research in Web technologies and in particular in the areas of
E-Commerce, knowledge management and collaboration. Knowledge of at least
