There's no demo version available, but based on the screenshots and the information on the site, it looks like it's using a "one-time pad" generated using a PRNG or other sequence-generator seeded with a key generated by the application, and it's the key that's exchanged. They call this a "Virtual OTP Cascade", but I believe it would be more correct to call it "a proprietary stream-cipher implementation with a silly name attached".
