The company is considering all applicants; they can hire a seasoned person with 20 years of experience, or a relatively young person with 7 or so years...frankly I think its a case of "we'll know it when we see it". The company is a well established firm who have been in business over 50 years and provides infrastructure to help people communicte more quickly, effectively, cheaply and securely.. The backround they are looking for...degree in either CS or Mathematics preferably a Masters or Doctorate...minimun 6 years experience in some info security related work but must have proven expertise in both classical cryptology algorithms and protocols and in network/internet security threats and countermeasures. There is a group of 6 at present, working on developing new applications or extensions of security technology for existing products and services. The company is entertaining, in their words, "investigations in broad areas of considerable novelty and importance in the area of information security technology" You can read this to mean they are a sort of think tank.... Anyway, 3 of the 6 folks in group are PhD.'s.... the company would like to enhance the prestige of the division and corporation through significant patents or papers on works accomplished by this group.
