When I include the Crypto++ code that I posted yesterday (which merely figures a SHA digest and checks an RSA value), my application size goes from 1.5mb to nearly 6mb in size. I am using RedHat 7.4, with gcc 2.96. Is there some magical flag I should use or does libcrypt really need 5Mb to do its work? I just checked and the .a lib is 46mb, which seems pretty big too.
