I faced the same problem...
I made my custom Asymmetric and Symmetric base Interfaces.
and wrapped (needed) algorithms (implemented in the Library) in
classes inherits from those interfaces
then I used the Factory Design pattern to switch between Asymmetric
and Symmetric algorithms at runtime.
If anyone knows a better solution, please send it
