Dear Wei Dai et al.: I spoke with one of the leaders of the Boost project -- http://boost.org -- David Abrahams. If you don't know, Boost is a C++ library, or actually a collection of libraries, which has a strong reputation for quality. It is in some sense the collection of candidates for future versions of the C++ standard library.
I asked David if he would be interested in adopting Crypto++ to be the Boost Crypto library. He said sure he would be interested, and we should submit it. Here is the process of submitting a library to be included in Boost: http://www.boost.org/development/submissions.html Would you folks be interested in submitting Crypto++ to be a Boost library? The advantages that I see would be for Crypto++ to benefit from a wider pool of developers, reviewers, etc. for Crypto++ code.
