To build the library, I simply uncomment the line with 
CRYPTOPP_NO_UNALLIGNED_ACCESS in config.h and then run *make.*

How did you build the library? What does a typical compile command look 
> like; and what does the link command look like?

Nothing different from the ones on Linux.
