If looking at my local Amazon, all VS versions cost at least 500€ (or $500 on the MS store). However I think (and hope) that anybody who was still using VS2005 migrated meanwhile to something newer (perhaps not VS2008 because it's "a minor jump" compared to VS2010) and I really do think that we can "abandon" this version after a continued support of (more than) 10 years. > * some folks may not have hardware to run a modern version of Visual > Studio I'll just list some hardware requirements here...
