Hi!
I'm testing CS on Mac OS X (works well with Windows and Linux, Thank
You very much!). I'm using the CVS from November 20th (I also tried
the pseudo-stable release but with similar results).
The machine is a new Powerbook with Mac OS X 10.4.
I have installed Fink and as many libraries as I could find.
(If someone can point me to a working Cal3D library, i'd be happy,
though). The X-Code installation gave me g++ 4.0 by default (and
as a new user I don't know how to switch to 3.3 which is also
available).
Now the problems:
* different apps crash at different places, I have stack traces
from the Mac OS CrashReporter available, I can send them to the
person who could help.
Excerpt from the logs:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x68686977
Thread 0 Crashed:
0 engine.csbundle 0x041dce34
csMeshWrapper::GetSquaredDistance(iRenderView*) + 92 (meshobj.cpp:882)
1 engine.csbundle 0x042d67f4
csSectorVisibleMeshCallback::ObjectVisible(csMeshWrapper*, unsigned) + 124
(sector.cpp:315)
2 engine.csbundle 0x042d6ae4
csSectorVisibleMeshCallback::ObjectVisible(iVisibilityObject*,
iMeshWrapper*, unsigned) + 112 (sector.cpp:358)
etc...
* another message I'm getting from simple1 in some cases (in the
debug build) is 'Bus error' with no other information or crash log.
Does anyone have a successfully working CS with newer versions of
Mac OS X / GCC?
All help is appreciated!
Dan
