TOPIC:
SUCCESSFUL SHAREWARE MARKETING
Eric Scherzel, Managing Director
of Acclaim Software, has developed two successful shareware products, ‘Cashbook
Complete’ which is a small business accounting programme used widely throughout
New Zealand, and ‘Focus Magic’ which is used by photographers all around the
world to refocus images which have motion blur or out-of-focus blur.
Eric
will be covering four key areas:
1. Why shareware is a terrific way of
selling software especially from New Zealand
2. Choosing a shareware product
that will sell well
3. Developing the product without having to re-mortgage
your house
4. Selling and promoting the product
TOPIC:
“SURVIVING THE INTERNATIONAL JUNGLE...."
It is truly rare that a
company delivers sales that hit or exceed the target projections in year one
internationally. This is for a number of reasons including but not limited to
little or no market brand, market presence, or understanding of the purchase
conditions. Entry strategies tend to get a mostly ‘get real’ response from the
market and fail to meet stakeholder expectations.
Come along and listen
to Mr. Chip Dawson talk about developing and implementing export market entry
strategies that are realistic and achievable, attending trade shows and
conferences, leveraging networks like KEA and the Beachheads programme and many
other tactics for improving your chances of surviving the jungle.
