Just a final reminder that it is not too late to sign up for the
Professional Sales Skills workshop that will be held on Wednesday at
2:00 at the Canterbury Innovation Incubator.  This is a workshop for
people who are uncomfortable with pressure or manipulation or
dissatisfied with their sales results so far.

Also CSI's Online Marketing and Sales Special Interest Group is meeting
next Wednesday, 13 April, at 5:30 pm at Cii. Cecilia Aynsley, Web
Marketing Officer from CPIT will give a practical presentation about
email marketing and elements you need to consider when setting up a
campaign. We will also informally discuss other topics of interest to
the audience. The meeting will be followed by drinks and nibbles.

Workshop Description
Sell more, much more, as you build valuable long-term relationships with

do (And it has very little to do with explaining features and benefits) 
*       How to get the focus off price and on to value 
*       How to use questions to uncover even hidden needs and build
rapport 
*       How to match your customer's needs with your product or service
so well that you'll have a powerful advantage over your competitors 
*       How to use possible objections in a way that is very persuasive 
*       How to close, but only once, and in a way that makes you three
times more effective than people who close more often 
*       How the world's most successful sales people (and other top
achievers) handle rejections and setbacks. 
Please note that the workshop Professional Sales Skills is not suitable

Our presenter:  
Ralph Brown
B.A., Dip J.
Ralph is the managing director and founder of Media Associates. His
background includes business, psychology and journalism in all the major
media, including 15 years reporting and directing news and current
affairs for Television New Zealand and on secondment to the BBC in
London and Norwich. 
He writes, produces and directs video-based training productions for a
global market, speaks to conferences and takes a range of workshops
throughout New Zealand and in Australia. He is the author of Making
Business Writing Easy <book.html> and Making Business Writing Happen
(Pub: Allen and Unwin 2003) and Success at work and at home.   He has
been involved in the Hi Tech Programme as a presenter for the past 5
years.

After attending this workshop, you are entitled to a free one hour of
one-on-one free coaching with Ralph to implement the skills, ideas and
knowledge gained from the workshop and apply it to your business.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Enterprise Training Programme, you must be the
