US SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP MEETING
Hi,
The Canterbury Software Inc along with Alistair Peat of Jade would like
to invite you to take part in a US Special Interest Group meeting. This
is an opportunity for those either already exporting to the US or those
interested in exporting to the US market to attend and share knowledge,
ideas and best practices with others who have done it before.
A number of you will recall from the Export Survey conducted last year
that there was a strong interest in the US market from Canterbury
Software companies. This group will be focused on issues such as Market
Entry, Access to Distribution Channels, Beachhead programmes and
Expatriate networks to name a few. But REMEMBER we would also like
you're your input as to the needs of industry.
Some companies will want to do things themselves, but a lot are making
the same basic mistakes. This can be a financial burden as well as lost
opportunities when done wrong. The key is to be prepared, don't leave
things up to chance as the US is a huge market with many opportunities:
* Always do your homework and research before you start
* Have a business plan with realistic goals
* Use all contacts and advantages that are available
Come along and share some of your experiences and listen to
others successes and mistakes. Nibbles and refreshments will be provided
