NETWORKING FORUM FOR INVESTORS AND TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES
The first of what is hoped to be a permanent event in our calendar will take place on 14 June 2005.

So everyone knows who is who, each attendee will wear a colour-coded name tag a green dot for a technology company, red dot for an investor and amber dot for an advisor/other party.
If you register and/or pay online to attend the Software Associations monthly networking dinner event (see below) youll also get a blue dot.

NZSA Networking dinner: Register here
Topic: Software company structure for profitability and cash flow
Have you ever scratched your head, agonised or momentarily considered how you might deal with a whole raft of issues within your software business? Chances are there are plenty of other people who have experienced the same dark thoughts and wonderment.
This networking session is an opportunity to hear how one of your peers has dealt with the same issues and at the same time made a profit. Input from the audience is welcome.
You are invited to the next networking dinner event with guest speaker, Devendra Patel, Computer Fanatics Ltd.
Deven will discuss how he has dealt with issues such as rental against purchase and maintenance plans and structuring cash flow to cover bad times. Bad times proved to be the best time to sell the company, buy it back and be better off!
Deven will also talk about his philosophy on maximising profitability from your existing client base without undertaking major expansion or launching a new product. This is a level of profitability that has enabled him to buy the premises the company occupies. Making a profit is what everyone is here for so these topics and issues should make for some interesting discussion.
