Getting the most out of exhibitions

Almost any business faces the challenge of making most of a trade fair opportunity and being perceived as a credible partner in the (international) market place.

The seminar focuses on both the larger framework and the most practical aspects of your business communication processes. It will prove a crucial workout towards your 'Business Communication Toolkit'.  This toolkit is a low-cost, multimedia and Customer Relationship Management, project management approach that can transform, in as little as 2 weeks, the way the global market perceives your business and is instrumental in your dealings with investors, banks, distributors, business partners, funding organisations and of course your clients and prospects.  The session will also include a hands-on practical session that will help provide a very useful real life simulation.

The seminar's content can be used directly in your daily communications and in preparing for ES Connectivity 05.

Date:  Tuesday, 23rd August 2005

Time:  1.00pm - 5.00pm

Venue: The Canterbury innovation Incubator, 200 Armagh Street, Christchurch.

Cost:  Free (Fully funded by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise)

Presenter:   Patrick E.J Rottiers

Sourcing the right skills

Finding the right skilled and technical staff is a primary barrier to growth for many New Zealand technology companies.

The Department of Labour's skills shortages list:http://www.immigration.govt.nz/community/general/generalinformation/news/SkillShortageListsAmendedJuly05.htm  are due to be reviewed.  Electronics South is assisting HiGrowth to help identify those occupations that warrant inclusion.

So, if your company is having difficulty getting skilled people, please take the time to answer four questions so your feedback can be included in the national ICT submission.
