First of all I apologize in advance if this isn't an
appropriate message for this list. I haven't found
any other discussion forum which is concerned with the
software development industry in New Zealand -- if
there is such a list or forum then please forward the
information to me!
I am a Java/J2EE Architect/Developer from America who
is researching employment opportunities in New
Zealand, especially in Christchurch and Auckland. My
primary interest and expertise is in designing and
developing J2EE applications in an open source
development environment. My passion these days is
Spring and Hibernate ("J2EE without EJB"). I'm
interested to find out if there is much of this sort
of development going on in New Zealand, and if so
which companies are doing this sort of thing -- i.e.
where should I look for work in NZ if I want to keep
doing what I love?
