Hi folks,

A bunch of us were at the ICT Taskforce meeting on Tuesday to hear their
initial ideas on growing 100 ICT companies through the annual sales level
of $100 million per company by 2012.

The $100 million question is - is this achievable in the software scene
and what is needed to achieve it?

We're looking not just for the usual policy and philosophical stuff, but
also some practical achievable things that Canterbury Software Inc can do
to help or things we need to lobby the government to get done to help make
it easier for all of us (after all, to get 100 comapneis to that level,
they're going to need to give 10,000 a major boost somehow :-).

So take a look at the new section on the CS Website, which has the ICT
Taskforce report as well as two early discussions of the report and the
meeting. Check it out at:

The plan is to collate all responses and suggestions, and present a CS
response to the Taskforce by the end of January. Here's your chance to
have a say!

Cheers,
Vicki Hyde

P.S. Don't forget the CS Inc AGM on Friday (4pm, CII 200 Armagh St,
followed by BBQ). Still only $50 to join -- a good investment if we can
come up with a $100 million dollar plan for local software firms!
